A. Teevens called a meeting of the Academic Excellence Committee of Alma del Mar to order on Friday Jan 19, 2024 at 9:02 AM.

Approve Minutes from December 2023 Committee Meeting
J. Korn made a motion to approve the minutes from Academic Excellence Committee Meeting on 12-18-23.
L. Hicks seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

J. Korn gave updates on discussions with D. Prentiss and T. DeLoach regarding the committee goals. The committee discussed the stipend fund.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 9:51 AM.

A. Teevens provided the committee with an informal preview of Quarter 2 academic data, which will be ready to share with the full board next week.
The committee discussed the role of talent in academic results.
A. Teevens also previewed the Secondary Schools application update that will come before the committee in February.
