Call the Meeting to Order
M. Kay called a meeting of the Academic Excellence Committee of Alma del Mar to order on Friday Sep 17, 2021 at 9:05 AM.

Approve Minutes from August 2021
M. Kay made a motion to approve the minutes from Academic Excellence Committee Meeting on 08-25-21.
A. Teevens seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Academic Excellence
A.
General Check-In + MCAS Data Review
Committee discussed use of books in the curriculum that address issues of racial equity, diversity, and inclusion; approach to support scholars quarantining due to COVID-19; academic components of the After School program; the REDI priority's presence in Professional Development; and Science results and programming. Comparative MCAS data will not be available until later today, A. Teevens will provide comparative data for the Board Packet for next week.

Plan for upcoming meetings
Committee will review comparative MCAS data next month.
