Call the Meeting to Order
M. Kay called a meeting of the Academic Excellence Committee of Alma del Mar to order on Friday Mar 19, 2021 at 9:05 AM.

Approve Minutes from February 2021
M. Kay made a motion to approve the minutes from Academic Excellence Committee Meeting on 02-22-21.
A. Teevens seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Academic Excellence
A.
General Check-In
A. Teevens provided updates about new re-opening plans, including impacts on class sizes/staffing, social distancing measures, MCAS plans, etc.
A. Teevens provided some preliminary results of STEP testing in grades K-2, which will be completed today.
B.
Planning for upcoming meetings
Committee discussed plans to do a Board Training on the English Language program at the April Board Meeting. A. Teevens will prepare some relevant data and program details before the next committee meeting to review.
