Call the Meeting to Order
M. Kay called a meeting of the Academic Excellence Committee of Alma del Mar to order on Monday Feb 22, 2021 at 9:18 AM.

Approve Minutes from January 2021
M. Kay made a motion to approve the minutes from Academic Excellence Committee Meeting on 01-22-21.
A. Teevens seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Academic Excellence
A.
General Check-In
A. Teevens provided updates on the transition to in-person learning for K-2nd and supervised remote, as well as implications from Quarter 2 interim assessment data on 3rd-8th grade ELA and Math curriculum
B.
Prep for February Board Training - Special Education
Committee prepared documents to share with Board on 2/26 meeting to provide additional context on SPED programming.
C.
Planning for upcoming meetings
Committee discussed planning to do a similar style of training at the March board meeting on English Language programming.
