Request to approve the updated Alma del Mar Enrollment Policy. The Enrollment Policy was amended to more closely align with new requirements from the Charter School office. The changes were intended to make charter school enrollment policies easier for families to understand and consistent with state lottery and enrollment requirements. Notable changes made to Alma's policy included:

  • Additional options for proof of residence
  • Altering the lottery process to better accommodate subgroups (i.e. siblings and New Bedford residents)
  • Changing the amount of time we give families to decide if they want to attend Alma
