Compliance with CalSTRS directives requires charter schools operating through nonprofit benefit corporations to maintain governing documents confirming that in the event of dissolution, assets will be distributed to another public school, the state, or a subdivision/agency of the state. The proposed change to GTA's Articles of Incorporation is intended to conform with this directive.

 
  I. Consideration of Approval - CalSTRS Charter School/Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Certification Vote Nick Driver 5 m
   

Compliance with CalSTRS directives requires charter schools to certify by June 30, 2026 that their operating structure qualifies them for continued participation in the CalSTRS system. This certification document is presented to the board for visibility and to confirm compliance as a nonprofit corporation operating charter schools.
