Call the Meeting to Order

E. Hatch called a meeting of the Development Committee of Arco Iris Spanish Immersion School to order on Tuesday May 19, 2026 at 6:01 PM.

Approve Minutes: Jan 2026

E. Hatch made a motion to approve the minutes from Development Committee Meeting on 01-08-26.
C. Billings seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

Approve Meeting Minutes: March 2026

E. Hatch made a motion to approve the minutes from Development Committee Meeting on 03-10-26.
C. Billings seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

II. Development

A.

Fundraising Gap and Goals

  • At $110,000 raised from the auction, not including matching or factoring in the expenses.  This is a huge increase from what was raised last year. 

B.

Grants

  • Christa shared updates on what grant applications have been submitted by Fund Ed recently
  • Need to update the Grants spreadsheet with current submissions.  Erin to work on this
  • Fund Ed contract is up on June 30th.  Still owed 4 deliverables.
  • There is another opportunity thru Charter School Growth Fund that Jesus is working on.  https://oregoncf.org/grants-and-scholarships/grants

C.

Community Relations/PR

  • Jesus gave update on Arco birthday celebration and parade.  Got great drone photos!
  • Grow Schools working on campaign for enrollment and also Tigard community support.   Created a new brochure with the mascot and coloring opportunities.  Looking for ideas on how to get these brochures out to businesses.  
    • Share the brochure out on social media
    • Ask parents if they have a business connection that would put out our brochure. Share on the PTO page
    • Ask Carrie from Grow Schools if she can come up with a list of businesses to reach out to
  • Upcoming Community Event/Neighborhood Fair in Tualatin on June 13rh.  Dani setting up booth at the event.  Have brochures available for pick up.

  • Erin to update the grant spreadsheet
  • Jesus to check the Oregon CF portal for LPP grant status for Luis: https://oregoncf.my.site.com/MyOCF_login
  • Jesus to email Erin info on Charter School Growth grant application he is working on to add to the spreadsheet.
  • TTSD area agenda item
  • Next meeting in August 6th at 6pm.
