V. Updates

A.

Replication and Expansion Application

Barry Williams provided an update on the school's Replication and Expansion Application. Leadership recently participated in an interview with the State Charter Schools Commission (SCSC) as part of the application process. Mr. Williams reported that the interview focused on the school's organizational capacity, leadership structure, strategic vision, and readiness for future growth. He noted that the addition of a principal to oversee daily operations strengthened the school's application by allowing executive leadership to focus on long-term organizational goals and expansion planning.

If selected, the initiative will provide strategic planning support, operational reviews, and technical assistance to strengthen the school's capacity for future replication and charter renewal. Leadership anticipates receiving a decision by the end of July. Committee members expressed support for the opportunity and discussed how the initiative could strengthen academic programming, organizational systems, partnerships, and long-term sustainability.

B.

Operations Monitoring

Barry Williams provided an update on summer operational readiness for the 2026–2027 school year. He reported significant progress in preparing the campus, including classroom setup, facility improvements, technology installations, and preparations for the Hallway Dedication Ceremony and unified K–8 Open House. Leadership also reviewed upcoming compliance and monitoring activities to ensure the school remains on track for a successful opening. Committee members commended the administration and staff for their hard work and dedication throughout the summer.
