This Bridge Prep Board of Trustees Meeting is for the purpose of viewing a presentation by Pasek Consulting regarding the charter renewal process for our school. This meeting is open to the public for virtual attendance via video-conference on Zoom.

After the presentation, we will hold a separate board meeting to establish plans for the Charter Renewal Task Force going forward.

II. Retreat Agenda

A.

Board Introductions

L. Gyimesi introduced Dan Pasek, founder of Pasek Consulting, LLC.

Dan specializes in strategic planning and board training with independent charter school boards to help grow their governance capacity and set long-term strategy through strategic planning initiatives.

Dan then offered a PowerPoint presentation on the charter renewal process, covering timelines for renewal submission, and what types of initiatives will make a difference in our charter renewal candidacy. He stated that our charter renewal is considered to be a 2-year process.

We must apply for renewal from our charter authorizer, the NYS Board of Regents.
