Items discussed during meeting:

1.  Standardized Test:  will be administered this week and next with 5th grade taking test online.  After spring break science and Math will be administered.  20 students have opted out.  

2.  NYSED Renewal:  Feedback was given on Benchmarks 1,2,7 & 8; response to draft report was sent 4/5/24.  We received mostly "approaching" with 3 "meets".  There was a downgrade in Benchmarks 2 & 7 since our midterm report.  There were factual errors and major contradictions.

3.  Status of SUNY middle school application:  public hearing was held on 4/2; Capacity Meeting expected to be held May 1-3.  Following this, we should hear if we will go on to Regent's agenda.

4.  Enrollment and Lottery:  Enrollment doing well.  We will exceed budget of 220 students, we will need to update budget.  Lottery held in person on 4/3. 

5.  Staffing Recommendations for budget: adds - literacy interventionalist, 2 associate teachers, 2nd instructional coach?  additional SLP   On track for May approval of budget.

6.  IXL diagnostic administered:  growth seen in many students since December; 1st grade showing great growth. 

7.  SY 2024-25:  BOT will get calendar to approve in May.

8.  "Intent to Return" letters going to staff in early May.  Known needs:  1 maternity at school start; another going out this week.

9.  Number and kind of assessments will be reviewed for next year for use and worthiness.
