RECAP and UPDATES of TOPICS DISCUSSED on 12/8/21:
  • 3 staff vacancies as of 12/8/21
  • DTL hiring process complete.  Welcome aboard Christine Volpe
  • ED presentation of meaningful data and implications for Academic Dashboard. 1) Data Overview:  What do the numbers tell us as to how are we doing on the road to reauthorization and fulfilling charter goals? 2) Road to re-authorization.  Where are we now, and what is the timeline ahead?
  • January dashboard will report mid-year OG and F&P data
  • CSE continues to fail to make provision for our SETSS instruction.  Bridge staff has had to provide direct service to our kids causing disruption to classroom coverage.  CSE has also had significant gaps in providing OT/PT services.  There has been some movement in PE, but OT still remains largely unsupported.  Mandated counseling is being offered remotely.  As a result, some families are opting out.  This has necessitated the school to pick up on a higher level of crisis counseling.  School level workarounds suggested, i.e., in yoga programs
  • School staff working on IEPs to reflect true testing accommodations for our students, for example test read out loud
  • Bloomberg grant. Ed will investigate BP eligibility, and will report back next meeting
  • NYSED mid-level visit--week of May 9, 2022.  Feedback back from state June 2022
