2.  SY 26-27 priorities:  

  • - 20 minutes of recess for each grade, staggered throughout the day.
  • - Sustained reading/writing during the last block for each grade.
  • - 50 minutes of science every day for K-4.  60 minutes of science for 5th grade.
  • - Departmentalizing the 5th grade.
  • - A full hour of lunch for students: 30 minutes lower house, 30 minutes upper house.
  • - 30 minutes of staff lunch, instead of 40 minutes.
  • -30 minutes of humanities daily, with test prep during the Friday block for grades 3-5.
  • -30 minutes of math centers daily.
