Meeting Format
Whether in person or online, the public is welcome to attend Board/Committee Meetings and have access to meeting minutes. Meetings are held once a month and additionally, as determined by the Board/Committee Chair. All meeting Agendas are posted on the school website at least 48 hours in advance of each public meeting.

During the meeting, the Board and its committees follow the published agenda. Gallery members are not part of the formal discussion or deliberations.  Those wishing to speak at a meeting are asked to follow our Privilege of the Floor Policy. To request to speak at a meeting, please complete the following google form before the start of the meeting.

Call the Meeting to Order

Todd Tetreault called a meeting of the board of trustees of Foxborough Regional Charter School to order on Thursday Dec 21, 2023 at 8:08 AM.

This agenda item is deferred to the next meeting after Mr. Tetreault determines all minutes of meetings that are outstanding to date.

II. Finance & Facilities

Elementary School Roof

Mr. Yezukevich reviewed the proposal submitted by the design firm for the replacement of the elementary school roof. There were nine responses to the RFQ, and Studio Umbra was chosen as the most qualified firm for their experience in completing the middle school roof and their specification of a timeline in the RFQ. The project will start in June and be completed by the end of the summer before the school year.

 

The total cost of the roof is estimated at $3.1M, which is 75% of the cost of the middle school roof. In addition to the replacement of the roof, replacement of the HVAC system housed in a small structure on the roof is being considered part of the project with an estimate of $500K. Although within two to five years of its useful HVAC life, the recommendation is to replace it now, rather than incurring the cost of ripping up the new roof to replace the system at a later time.  Additionally, while the team is on-site, replacement of the high school gym HVAC is also being considered and will be decided in January.

Matthew Yezukevich made a motion to allow the execution of a contract with Studio Umbra as presented in the proposal and to authorize Mr. Yezukevich to sign the contract.
