Call the Meeting to Order

C. Weathersby called a meeting of the Finance Committee of Pataula Charter Academy, Inc (Serving Pataula Charter Academy and Spring Creek Charter Academy) to order on Monday Mar 20, 2023 at 4:40 PM.

Approve Minutes

H. Worsley made a motion to approve the minutes from January Finance Meeting on 01-23-23.
G. Flowers seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Approve Agenda

G. Flowers made a motion to Approve the Agenda.
H. Worsley seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Finance

A.

Pataula - FY 24 Initial General Operating Budget Presentation

This is the first presentation of the PCA FY 24 General Operating Budget. The committee reviewed each line item for errors/needed additions.

B.

Spring Creek - FY 24 Initial General Operating Budget Presentation

This is the first presentation of the SCCA FY 24 General Operating Budget. The committee reviewed each line item for errors/needed additions.

C.

Spring Creek - FY 24 classified salary increases

Several classified staff members have approached Administration regarding pay scale - bus drivers, paraprofessionals, etc. In order to retain staff members administration is seeking approval to increase salaries of certain classified personnel.

H. Worsley made a motion to Seek Board approval to increase the starting salary and cost of living adjustments for certain designated Spring Creek classified personnel in the total amount of $64,759.00.
G. Flowers seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

D.

Pataula - FY 24 Salary Increases

Several classified staff members have approached Administration regarding pay scale - bus drivers, paraprofessionals, etc. In order to retain staff members administration is seeking approval to increase salaries of certain classified personnel.

G. Flowers made a motion to Seek Board approval to increase the starting salary and cost of living adjustments for certain designated Spring Creek classified personnel in the total amount of $138,482.00.
E. Austin seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

E.

Credit Card request

Both schools previously held credit lines with Amazon. Amazon dissolved these in January. Administration is requesting approval from the Board to open a credit card with Amazon for each school. Established credit card procedures will be followed and the card will be in the name of each principal.

G. Flowers made a motion to Request approval from the Board to open an Amazon credit card for each school.
E. Austin seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

III. Closing Items

A.

Adjourn Meeting

H. Worsley made a motion to Adjourn the meeting at 5:41.
G. Flowers seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 4:41 PM.
