II. Academic Excellence

Review Academic Excellence Definition and Indicators

Kylie reminded everyone of our definition of academic excellence and how we use our CCRRP scores as measures.

B.

2024-2025 CCRPI Reports

Kylie presented all of the CCRPI data for both PCA and SCCA.  She explained what each measure means (content master, progress, closing gaps, readiness, and overall score).  She presented data for individual grade bands, subjects, and overall scores for both the school and grade bands.  Each measure was clearly explained, and then Kylie demonstrated how to put all of this data together to predict if each school will exceed, meet, approach, or not meet.

Kylie also presented the comparisons of our schools' CCRPI scores to that of the local districts each serves.  Based on her primary calculations using advanced formulas from the state, PCA is predicted to meet this year, and SCCA is predicted to be approaching. However, we will not know the final determinations until the SCSC sends these in January.

C.

School Improvement Plan (Strategic Plan/PD Plan)

Kylie and Kathy explained the school improvement plans in place for continuous academic growth.  Along with the strategic plan that was implemented last year, elementary is using a new intervention model (walk to read/walk to math) along with cohesive curricula to provide every student in grades K-5 with instruction based on specific need.  There were also strategic teacher grade level/course moves at SCCA to best meet the needs of instructional improvement.

Adjourn Meeting

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 6:15 PM.

Respectfully Submitted,
R. Lane
