Jordan Lopez, Chief Operating Officer, began by welcoming the Committee and providing an update on general school operations and compliance. She reported that the organization continues to maintain good standing with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), and that discussions regarding the closure process have been both proactive and positive. Additionally, she highlighted that asset disposition has commenced, with several schools expressing interest in acquiring government-funded items.
Lopez also took the opportunity to commend Taylor Riley, Director of Human Resources, for her outstanding efforts in organizing job fairs aimed at helping staff secure employment following the closure of City on a Hill. She further noted that enrollment retention remains strong and that the overall morale among both staff and students is positive.
Finally, Lopez opened the floor for further discussion and questions. As no additional inquiries were raised, the committee expressed their gratitude to both her and Sonya Pratt, Executive Director, for their dedicated efforts.
