Review Finance Committee Meeting Minutes of January 21, 2021

Review of February 28, 2021 Financial Reports. 

Areas of concentration for COO with financial implications for FY21 Budget, and/or Gym Middle School Capital Project

1.  Learning environment improvements at Neil and Art Barn Buildings.  Capital investment proposals forthcoming from roofer, plumber, HVAC contractor following investigation and beginning of correction of roof problems at Neil Building; investigation of HVAC system cleaning needs at Neil Building; correction of minor issues with toilet/sinks at Neil Building.   Any proposed capital investments in FY21 will be considered as part of the overall Middle School Project budget.  Augmentation of the nighttime cleaning hours has taken place, along with a change of cleaning chemicals better for health of allergen-sensitive staff, PD for custodial staff well in process.

2.    Implemented a sole-source contract for network management of EMSA's network, with pricing/scope input from Mike Gibb (Mel's husband, IT professional) confirming it is a thorough and competitive scope of services.  This protects EMSA while adding remote device support for staff, students.

3.  In process of review of competitive proposals for e-rate vendor for Gym Building as well as competitive proposals for: intercom/clock system for Gym and potentially Neil Building, phone system extension to Gym Building; security systems for Gym Building with connection to Neil Building.  

  

Construction is on schedule and continues to track well under budget for defined scope of Gym Project plus Warm, Safe, and Dry.
