J. Sims called a meeting of the Culture Committee of Shining Rock Classical Academy to order on Wednesday Aug 12, 2026 at 11:16 AM.

Approve Minutes
J. Sims made a motion to approve the minutes from NEST Meeting on 05-27-26.
A. Aldossary seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

Book Fair
- September 14, 15, 17, 18
- Blood drive happens on the 16th
- 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- No arrival date of materials yet
- Typically, one week prior
- Utilize the gym dividing curtain?

- Move this one since it is right after Literacy Night?

- Little Caesars pizza needs estimate -- 2 days notice
- NEST will provide drinks
- NEST to provide assistance for the concession stand

Storage
- B. Weimar trying to help decide where to store uniforms, holiday decorations
- Shipping container outside is full and is not climate controlled
- Uniforms susceptible
- R. McFalls has been keeping uniforms in her own climate controlled storage

- Classes have been plentifully stocked
- Offer books at book fair
- Free and reduced
- Donate the remainder or trade-in at a book shop
