Call the Meeting to Order
J. Sims called a meeting of the Culture Committee of Shining Rock Classical Academy to order on Thursday Apr 23, 2026 at 5:30 PM.

Approve Minutes
J. Sims made a motion to approve the minutes from NEST Meeting on 03-18-26.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Fundraising
A.
Current NEST Funds
- TBD, have yet to settle with World's Finest Chocolate
- ~8,000 book fair points that must be spent by November

World's Finest Chocolate
World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser is nearly complete; the remaining items are
- Pig race on April 29th at 1:45 PM
- Rachel will be there
- Prizes ordered and pending delivery
- Funds raised have not yet been settled

- NEST plans to host a uniform sale this July at the Russ Ave campus

III. Needs
A.
Wednesday volunteers to help prep for testing
- Every Wednesday, NEST volunteers help teachers
- This Wednesday, volunteers can expect to help prep the physical spaces for testing
IV. Celebrations
A.
Teacher Appreciation
- Tuesday, taco bar (May 5)
- NEST covering cost which is expected to be about $450
- Sunday, sidewalk chalk (May 3)
- NEST attendees there from 1 - 3 PM to host
- Physical reminders to be sent out Wednesday, and ParentSquare reminders to be sent before and after those
- Thursday, cold beverages 12 - 2 PM
- 4-5 NEST volunteers
