Call the Meeting to Order
S. Messer called a meeting of the Facility and Transportation Committee of Shining Rock Classical Academy to order on Thursday Feb 19, 2026 at 9:15 AM.

Approve Minutes
B. Mullinix made a motion to approve the minutes from Summer Facilities Update on 06-05-25.
S. Messer seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Russ Awning Update
- Awaiting inspection in process
- Add spigot under awning

Russ Retention Pond Update
Final FEMA repair begins tomorrow should be completed mid-March

Russ HVAC Update
- Gas line repair approx. $9k
- Schedule for FY 26-27

Dellwood Campus Update
- Lake Lease - Offered to continue lease for another 5 years under current terms, they are a perfect landlord
- Utilities are always more expensive at Dellwood due to the nature of the buildings
- HVAC - Becoming more expensive to repair, units are needing to be replaced not repaired at their age
IV. Other Business
A.
Start discussing long term facility strategic planning
- If Dellwood Campus is closed, Finance Committee requests the cost of returning Dellwood Campus to Lake Junaluska specs per lease agreement. Confirm items with Lake Junaluska.
- Finance Committee requests an estimate of operating costs of the facility for the next 5 years by April Finance Committee meeting.
Potentially housing rising seniors at Russ Campus would require 2-3 classrooms.
