Call the Meeting to Order
J. Sims called a meeting of the Culture Committee of Shining Rock Classical Academy to order on Thursday Jan 22, 2026 at 11:15 AM.

Approve Minutes
J. Sims made a motion to approve the minutes from NEST Meeting on 11-20-25.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Fundraising

Current NEST Funds

Uniform Sale
- Tentatively, February 4 from 12-2 or 1-3
- Building B at Dellwood campus
- Selling uniforms and inviting attendees to purchase other items that are for sale
C.
Bingo Night
- Doors open at 5 PM on February 27, starting at 5:30 PM
- ~$5,000 in prizes so far
- Maggie Valley Fairgrounds
- Offering to volunteer their bingo machine and operator
- Donated bingo cards
- Offer daubers for sale for $1-$2?
- In talks with several food trucks
- Still need more folding tables and chairs

World's Finest Chocolate
- World's Finest Chocolate has offered a guarantee that they will raise at least as many funds as last time (they would cover any shortfall)
- They agreed not to do prizes (instead NEST will handle prizes)
- Meeting with sales representative next week
- Aiming to start around the end of February

Book Fair
- Looking at other book fair companies for the sake of book variety
- Aiming for April
