A.
Accountability Plan and Amendment
Bill and Wendy discussed the accountability plan, how it was updated from the original plan in 2015-2016, and how it defines the metrics for which we’re accountable to DESE each year and at our charter renewal. The committee discussed the development of these objectives and metrics and the targets the school has set.
B.
Remote Learning Update and Data Review
Wendy, Jess, and Bill discussed the Academic Achievement Committee Dashboard, including attendance, family survey, and ANet data. The committee asked us to consider adding to our summer learning plans, particularly for our youngest learners for literacy skills. They also discussed how this early data is essentially a "re-baselining" from prior years given the circumstances of the school closure in the spring and remote learning in the fall.
Bill discussed the updated guidance around school models from DPH and DESE, and how the school has started to interpret and consider the impact of this guidance. The committee discussed that the school should consider planning for the various scenarios of health data (better, worse, stable), as well as the varying challenges of each grade level, and how that information might impact decision-making for the school model.
