Call the Meeting to Order

K. Karacalidis called a meeting to order on Wednesday May 10, 2023 at 5:34 PM.

Approve Minutes

M. Duffy made a motion to approve the minutes from March Finance Committee Meeting on 03-08-23.
A. Allen-Thames seconded the motion.
The team VOTED to approve the motion.

II. SY23-24 Budget

A.

Public Hearing

  1. Review of Budget with Jarrod Lawson
    1. Clarifications
      1. MYP
        1. What is Title II and Title IV
          1. Title II and Title IV can be used for Staff Development
          2. Title II Staff development
          3. Title IV General Enrichment
        2. Row 158 - Should be clarified to say only Title I students
          1. Sarah is comfortable with current estimates
          2. Dan thinks $134K is reasonable for the moment, will adjust as we learn more
        3. Janitorial Services
          1. Having someone in the school by day.  At night having a Janitorial company clean. Cleaning for 181 days of the year
          2. Will go up 
          3. On the 182nd day, there are no children, just adults.  So at that point, the cleaning will occur at night.
        4. Phone
          1. Included in Technology (row 285).  There will be a phone in each classroom
        5. Classroom Furniture
          1. Year 1 is right now - Money from the grants to buy the furniture
          2. Year 2 - Is what's left over
          3. Will take $85.K to outfit classrooms for the first year
          4. Furniture for next year should be included in FY Year 3
          5. Montessori materials are included under Curriculum 
      2. Cash Flow
        1. SCS Metric is to have over 45 days Cash on Hand.  We are in a good place to meet this metric.

4. 2nd Hearing will be during the last Full Board Meeting of the Month.
