Kimberly Karacalidis Board Chair board@sankofamontessori.org Kimberly Karacalidis is the State Director for Relay Graduate School of Education, Georgia. Before joining Relay, Ms. Karacalidis served as a teacher, an assistant principal, and a principal within the city of Atlanta. Her passion and dedication are at the foundation of her 20+ years of experience with K-12 students. Ms. Karacalidis received her B.A. from Agnes Scott College, her M. Ed from Georgia State University, and her Ed.S from National Louis University. After obtaining her Ed.S in Supervision and Leadership, she decided that her life’s work was rooted in ensuring excellence in education for all.

Errika Moore Board Vice Chair vicechair@sankofamontessori.org Errika Moore is the inaugural Executive Director for the national STEM Funders Network. Previously Ms. Moore was the Senior Program Officer at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. Currently, Ms. Moore is the Vice-Chair for the national Project Scientist board, and the Board Chair for Ferst Readers. Ms. Moore is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and the Atlanta Diversity Managers Affinity Group (ADMAG). Ms. Moore has been honored as an Outstanding Georgia Citizen by the Secretary of the State, a Woman of the Year by Atlanta’s Women in Technology, as an Ecosystem Builder by the Tech for All Alliance, as one of the Top 40 Inspirers in America by InSpire Magazine, Who’s Who in Black Atlanta and with several distinctions from her alma mater, the Georgia Institute of Technology where she earned her B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering.

Adrienne Nash Board Secretary secretary@sankofamontessori.org Adrienne Nash, JD is a native of Atlanta who grew up in Southwest Atlanta and graduated from Benjamin E. Mays High School. Ms. Nash earned her BA from Agnes Scott College and her law degree from Mercer University. Ms. Nash is the Grievance Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel of the State Bar of Georgia. Prior to joining the Office of the General Counsel, Ms. Nash served as a prosecutor for over ten years in Coweta County and Clayton County. Ms. Nash is active in the Georgia High School Mock Trial program and is also active in the Clayton County Bar Association, Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, and the Lawyers’ Club of Atlanta.

Al Chambers Board Treasurer Al Chambers is the Business Services Senior Director of the Nexus Atlanta office. In this role, he serves as the BST office leader, overseeing operations & events, office experience, administrative services, and human resources for Nexus-Atlanta. Additionally, Al is the acting Black & Latinx Diversity Network Node for the Southeast System. Since joining BCG in 2016, Al has held leadership roles in New York, Los Angeles, and now Atlanta, driving operational improvements, talent management, and change initiatives, including playing a key role in the global Workday implementation. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about learning and development, coaching, and building high performing inclusive communities. Prior to joining BCG, Al served as Vice President of Operations and Administration at Guggenheim Partners in New York. Al holds a B.A. in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Temple University and is currently pursuing his Executive MBA at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School (expected graduation May 2026). An avid sports enthusiast, Al enjoys traveling, fitness, skiing, and live music and spending time with his nieces and nephew.

Alexandra Daniel Board Member Alexandra Daniel serves on the Board of Directors for Sankofa Montessori, bringing a passion for operational excellence, strategic leadership, and community impact. As Director of Operations & Strategy at the Center for Maternal Health Equity at Morehouse School of Medicine, she leads complex initiatives that strengthen organizations, build sustainable systems, and expand opportunities for the communities they serve. With a career rooted in education and organizational leadership, Alexandra is committed to developing environments where children are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. She believes educating the whole child requires strong partnerships between schools, families, and communities, and she is dedicated to ensuring every child has access to a nurturing, equitable, and empowering educational experience.

Andrea Allen-Thames Board Member athames-allen@sankofamontessori.org Dr. Andrea Thames-Allen is a pediatrician, an advocate for maternal and child health issues, and a proud parent of Montessori-educated children. Dr. Thames-Allen graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2006 followed by an MPH with honors from Morehouse School of Medicine. Dr. Thames-Allen has over 15 years of pediatric experience combined with public health service. Dr. Thames-Allen has also served and volunteered on various committees with charter, public, and private schools within the Atlanta community. Her leadership experience within these schools has underscored her belief in community as an essential component to thriving schools.

Fawn Sheffield Board Member fsheffield@sankofamontessori.org Fawn Sheffield has 20 years of experience in the construction management and architectural fields. Ms. Sheffield has experience working on hospital, airport, and school projects, which has afforded her the opportunity to manage a construction project from inception to completion. Most recently, Ms. Sheffield founded The Sheffield Company, a real estate development, architecture and construction management company. The mission is to build healthier communities by mobilizing financial resources, diverse builders, and civic leaders to re- imagine and systematically develop sustainable neighborhoods that take into consideration the desires, needs, and history of diverse populations.

Monika Davis Board Member Dr. Monika Davis is an accomplished educational technology leader and strategist with over three decades of experience dedicated to transforming K–12 technology infrastructure, thereby advancing digital equity and cultivating effective learning environments. Her executive experience includes serving as the Chief Information Officer for the DeKalb County School District. In this role, she managed a technology budget exceeding $219 million, providing strategic oversight for district-wide initiatives, including technology integration, and sustaining and enhancing the successful 1:1 device program. She also managed comprehensive cybersecurity and infrastructure for over 116,000 users. Dr. Davis holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Instructional Technology. She currently serves as a Strategic Advisor, concentrating on governance, security, and infrastructure for technology effectiveness to enhance learning environments. Her current focus is on the secure and ethical integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in K–12 education. She remains actively engaged in professional and social service, contributing as a member of advisory boards for the KSU School of Instructional Technology & Innovation, the Center for Digital Learning, and other key thought initiatives. Dr. Davis is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
