Vision, Mission and Core Values
Vision: To develop globally minded citizens who have the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to effect positive change in our world.
Mission: The GLOBE Academy fosters Global Learning Opportunities through Balanced Education for children of all backgrounds. With a focus on dual-language immersion, an experiential-learning model, and a constructivist approach, GLOBE inspires students to be high- performing lifelong learners equipped to make a positive impact in the world.

M. Hayes called a meeting of the Development Committee of The GLOBE Academy to order on Friday Mar 15, 2024 at 12:13 PM.

II. General Development Committee Priorities

A.

Development Committee Updates

  • Development committee finalized infographic with comprehensive view of all fundraising initiatives at GLOBE. 
  • Capital campaign committee is being formed and Chairs for Development will participate. 
  • Development co-chair, Adrienne McMillon, will be transitioning to Treasurer role. Recruitment for new Development co-chair will begin in March.

Development Committee Funds Overview

  • 88% of total development committee fundraising goal ($300,000) has been raised to date.

Annual Fund Campaign Updates

2023-24 Annual Fund 

  • 66% of annual fund goal ($99,637) has been raised to date
  • Reminders will be sent out consistently over the remainder of the year

2024-25 Annual Fund

  • Starting to think about next year and items that are needed by May/June.
    • Website update
    • Orientation set up
    • Records management

Fundraising Events Updates

  • GLOBE Trot 2023 was a successful event reaching 100% student participation and surpassing the $135K fundraising goal to raise $145K
  • Planning for GLOBE Trot 2024 will start in June 2023.
