Speakers who wish to address the Board must fill out and return a Speaker’s Card prior to the beginning of the meeting. Speakers shall limit their comments to three minutes or less. Charges or complaints against employees should be submitted first to the Superintendent and then to the Governing Board under the provisions of the Governing Board Policy (BP 1312.1 Complaints Concerning School Employees). Speakers are cautioned that under California Law, no person is immune from liability for making intentionally false or defamatory comments regarding any person simply because those comments are made at a public meeting.

The open purchase order will provide flexibility to support ongoing printing and distribution of instructional materials throughout the school year. |

The total cost is $123,912.17, including estimated shipping and tax. |

The McGraw Hill quote totals $134,300.84 (including estimated tax), and the corresponding Purchase Order #270009 totals $127,601.66. |

| V. | Approval to Purchase Four Vehicles for the Maintenance & Operations Department | ||||

The Board of Directors will consider approving the purchase of four (4) vehicles for the Maintenance & Operations Department, including one (1) Ford F-150 Crew Cab Pickup and three (3) Ford Transit Cargo Vans. The vehicles will support district maintenance, facility operations, and the transportation of equipment and supplies across school sites. The purchase will be made through High Desert Ford in an amount not to exceed $283,512.42, including taxes and applicable fees. |

It is recommended that the Board of Directors approve the agreement with Scout Edu, Inc. for Scout SIS student information system services, per Quote MRA-002, in an amount not to exceed $212,500.00 for the implementation period of January 1, 2027 through June 30, 2027, and authorize the Chief Academic Officer, or designee, to execute the Quote and any related documents. |

| Y. | Approval of Braintrust Tutors One-Year Partnership Agreement | ||||

It is recommended that the Board of Directors approve the one-year partnership agreement with Braintrust Tutors for the 2026–2027 school year to provide Braintrust SPARK and managed tutoring services, including virtual 1:1 and small-group tutoring, SPARK licensing, staff training, implementation and instructional coaching, and family and community engagement, in an amount not to exceed $2,860,000.00, and authorize the Chief Academic Officer, or designee, to execute the agreement and any related documents. |

| Z. | Approval of HMH READ 180 and MATH 180 Intervention Programs | ||||
|
It is recommended that the Board of Directors approve the adoption of HMH’s READ 180 and MATH 180 as Mojave River Academy’s core Tier 2/3 reading and mathematics intervention programs for School Year 2026–2027. Each program provides 3,000 one-year student licenses, teacher licenses, print and manipulative materials, and professional services, including getting-started sessions, leader training, and in-person coaching. READ 180 totals $358,793.05 and MATH 180 totals $350,141.52, for a combined one-year investment not to exceed $708,934.57, and authorize the Chief Academic Officer, or designee, to execute the proposals and any related documents. |

The Board of Directors will consider approving an open purchase order with The Stepping Stones Group, LLC, a California Department of Education–certified Nonpublic Agency, in an amount not to exceed $500,000.00 for the 2026–27 school year to provide special education related services and mental health services on an hourly, as-needed basis in accordance with the attached rate sheet. The agreement term will end July 1, 2027. |
