A. Juarez Cordova called a meeting of the Finance & Fundraising Committee of Whatcom Intergenerational High School to order on Thursday Oct 9, 2025 at 4:32 PM.

Review Financial Reports & Items for Board Ratification

Dashboard

  • One month of data - does not include running start
  • SPED headcount reported 9 student in SPED - budget created on higher (30%)
    • capped at 16% per district
    • Must spend in line with intended use - SPED services 
    • if don't spend all state will take them off - underspending last year
    • carry over some percentage of it but OSPI will recuperate
    • lose $10,000 and roll the res from last year
    • The cap has been removed an expected to receive double
    • Have focus on SPED funding 
  • Public Revenue - around $155k dispersed in 2 chunks in Oct then Mar/Apr
  • less than $1000 receipt missing this school year so far (from eric's credit card)
  • New to dashboard - outstanding section

Balance sheet

  • ended year higher than budget 

Budget status report

  • got 9% of annual allocation because hit enrollment
  • 8.3% of the year and spent 5.8%
  • Expenses coming in lower due to change
