Enrollment Update
Brian and Pam lead discussion on Enrollment; our intent is to have a student body and faculty/staff that is racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse. Last routine lottery yielded us the most diverse class - 13.5% not white student popultion.
Many efforts ongoing to improve enrollment
-outreach and intelligence gathering on students that apply, accept, and withdraw
-Luciana is likley going to join the enrollment committee
-continuing to establish parent ambassadors from key sending towns
-starting to curate Parker's online presence via Google ratings and Niche.com
-aim is to have diverse alumni tell their Parker stories in an outcomes focused manner
-use our December DEI meeting to focus on messaging we want included in the Parker narrative; also use Dec meeting to learn from enrollment committee what DEI committee can do to support enrollment for remainder of this school year.

Continuation of last meeting: What are Parker's graduates asking of us?
What are graduation speeches asking of us - focus on next elegant step/emergent strategies
-collect data to understand the current state of what it's like to be a POC at Parker; focus on recent grads, Juniors, and 7/8th graders
-establish a safe space/affinity space for POC students at Parker; potentially leverage lunch group; be intentional with adult leader of lunch group
-what can BoT do to support POC students, discussion will continue in December meeting on this question
Group shared what we are looking forward to in November.
