T. Rude called a meeting of the board of directors of Paramount Schools of Excellence to order on Tuesday Sep 21, 2021 at 5:32 PM.

Review and Approve Minutes
T. Rude made a motion to approve the minutes from Paramount Board of Directors Public Meeting on 08-17-21.

Trine Updates
Trine's first site visit was held today, and Paramount Online Academy's instructional environment received a "meets standard."

Enrollment Update
Enrollment continues to grow, exceeding revised budget expectations.
C.
Englewood Compliance Update
Paramount Englewood's evaluator visited the school on 9/2 to review the growth and work completed to resolve comments on the previous evaluation. The school is awaiting the final report.
D.
HR Policy Review - COVID Absence Request Guidelines
T. Palacios shared out the first read of adjusted language around COVID quarantine/isolation requirements as it relates to HR PTO policies.
T. Rude requested this be reviewed by legal counsel prior to bringing it to committee or voting it in.

T. Rude made a motion to adopt the revised budget as distributed by T. Reddicks.

V. Operations Reports

Navigation Team Reports
Paramount just held its first Summit on 9/10. There were multiple sessions led by staff, and feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

Principal Reports
D. Taylor & K. Sherrow (Paramount Brookside) gave a shout-out to the Navigation staff for the Summit. The school has parent-centered events planned to increase engagement. Observation and feedback sessions have focused on special education and ELL to support all learners. Beginning-of-year testing is coming to a close, and staff is collaborating to ensure they meet growth targets going into middle-of-year testing.
T. Gustin (Paramount Cottage Home) echoed the focus on data meetings based on beginning-of-year test results. The school is preparing for tutoring, which will provide students showing the most need additional targeted instruction.
D. Sawyers (Paramount Englewood) stated the school is gearing up for tutoring based on baseline assessment data. Extracurriculars are back this year, including Culture Club, Cross Country, online gaming, and other offerings. New Teacher Academy has also started, which is providing support to new teachers at the school.
