Byron Shinkle called a meeting to order on Monday Mar 16, 2026 at 5:03 PM.

Executive session ORS 192.660 to conduct deliberations with persons designated to carry on labor negotiations.
The board recessed into executive session at 5:51 p.m. and back into regular session at 6:27 p.m.

IES Data Report
Principal Nicole Smith and Assistant Principal Roseanna Larson presented data on Independence Elementary School, including:
- Mission statement
- Regular attendance
- Data regarding those who attend regularly within and outside of the walk zone.
- Assessments
- Students are starting to learn how to keyboard.
- IES demographics
- 40% emergent bilingual; 18% special education; 51% experiencing poverty; 61% Latino
