Byron Shinkle called a meeting of the board of directors of Central School District 13J to order on Monday Oct 6, 2025 at 6:31 PM.

A.

Principal Appreciation Month

Dr. Jennifer Kubista honored the principals and assistant principals in the district in honor of National Principals Month. 

III. Standing Reports

A.

Division 22

Director Jason Clark presented the Division 22 standard assurances, and reported that Central School District is in compliance with every Division 22 rule.

Director Jobe congratulated Mr. Clark and the administrative leadership team for meeting each Division 22 rule.

 

B.

Data Report: September Attendance; Culture/Climate Surveys

Dr. Kubista presented the climate and culture survey results for parents and caregivers. She discussed the feedback form for families and caregivers to fill out. She also reviewed attendance data for the month of September.

C.

2024-25 Integrated Plan Annual Report

Dr. Kubista presented the annual Integrated Plan report.

Policy 1st Reading --

The board reviewed policy JOA for first reading.

B.

Policy 2nd reading - JFCEB

Dr. Kubista presented policy JFCEB with the updates from student, staff, and policy committee feedback for second reading.

Steve Moser made a motion to approve the consent agenda as presented.

Out of State Field Trip request

Andrea Van Heeswyk made a motion to approve the out of state field trip request for the Central Cross Country team to compete at the Nike Cross Regionals National Qualifier race in Spokane, Washington, from November 13 through 15.
Jann Jobe seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

Board Comments

Director Moser thanked staff for their hard work in trying to keep going with a moving target that seems to change every week.

Director Graham mentioned that School Lunch Week is October 13-17.
