Lead Team Meeting #2 May 13, 2026 - Review of aspirations and fears(10 minutes)
- Aspirations:
- The addition of large program spaces (assembly room, library, etc.) that serve the schools current demographics
- A comprehensive study that takes into account all existing spaces
- A plan that can be used for future fundraising
- Providing our families with a grades PK - 8 school solution
- Understanding how to grow vs. what to grow as
- Inclusion of community spaces and resources
- A master plan for a total buildout with sequential phases
- Fears:
- Exceeding our funding constraints
- Increasing # of grades at the expense of additional necessary space for existing student population
- Building spaces we don’t really need
- Red tape/ community/ regulatory input halting the process (not another parking lot study)

(40 minutes) - Our conceptual design process will:
- Represent our mission(Intelligence and Character)
- Identify facility core spaces (eating, phys ed, library, etc.)
- Use a broad-based approach that includes local community input
- Plan for phased construction
- Optimize the use of our existing spaces
- Confirm our space needs for current demographics while considering possible additional grades
- Result in a fiscally responsible solution that meets our space needs
- Be summarized in a document that outlines our vision and can be used for fundraising
- Our facility will:
- Be AWESOME
- Have universally accessible spaces
- Include dedicated staff spaces
- Be a safe home away from home for our students and staff
- Be zoned to properly accommodate after hours use
- Provide access to technology anytime/ anywhere
- Have an easily identifiable and welcoming front door
- Reflect our pedagogy and support different learning styles
- Have dedicated large group / phys ed spaces
- Have appropriately sized and dedicated storage spaces
