Call the Meeting to Order

A. Wright called a meeting of the Fundraising Committee of Lowcountry Montessori School to order on Wednesday Dec 3, 2025 at 5:02 PM.

Old Business

  • Cookbook (T. Brosnan)
    • Coming in Friday; can sell online
  • Food Truck Event: $250 raised 
  • Photo Sessions (V. Romig)
    • 40 total slots, 6 still open
    • Valerie will work car line tomorrow 
    • Sending out confirmations
    • Plans for logistics still need to be addressed
  • Holiday Shop (V. Romig)
    • Good on volunteers
    • Online link is posted, items have arrived, will be held in teacher's lounge
    • Still need logistics plan
       

II. New Business

A.

Future Fundraising Roles

  • Brief discussion of event form specifically for fundraisers. This form needs to be filled out 3 weeks in advance of event. (N. Ormsby, M. Watkins)
  • Summer camp
    • S. Fox shared staff concerns about space, impact on staff (maintenance, office staff). R. Beck affirmed these concerns as office staff member.
    • C. Creamer expressed concerns about liability, ratios
    • Decision was made to hold off on this fundraiser for the time being
  • Spring Events 
    • High Tea (T. Brosnan)
      • indoors, focus on primary and UE, will take place March 21 (early PM)
      • need to determine reservation system, etc.
      • idea for pancake breakfast as a future fundraiser  (explore further)
    • Cookbook Meal Night (T. Brosnan, A. Wright)
      • Bring your own cutlery, paper cups for tasting food
      • Sign up genius for who is bringing foods
      • Will hold at beginning of 2026-2027 school year
      • Push this item to June fundraising meeting
    • Talent Show (J. Poole)
      • Will be held March 13
      • Sell food and offer "crowd favorite" voting again
      • Discussed community involvement and engagement and time limit
      • Need a stage (ideas included asking Alex, asking for assistance on Bloomz)
      • Will determine audition dates at next meeting
    • Drive In Night, Adult Prom, Basketball Game
      • Push these topics to next meeting
  • R. Beck shared need to consider fees when including future items on Revtrack/sales through Square
  • Future Fundraisers
    • Ideas: classes, student art showcase. R. Beck suggested putting these items into Spring Fling. Committee members will bring ideas for discussion at January meeting.
