Teachers are responding well and understand the importance of having STEM certification.

STAMP Data
Stamp Data for 5th-8th grade
Wesley had 11 new students that had not been exposed to Chinese.
Reading is the hardest for most students.
8th grade scored very well:
Reading 62% at level 1, writing 32% level 1,listening 44% level 3 and speaking 36% level 2
7th grade:
Improving no zeros.
6th grade:
Not as much growth on results because WIA lost several top students . 6th grade had growth in writing and listening. We will focus next year on speaking and reading for this grade level.
5th grade :
Very strong in reading.
Pruss acknowledges Mr. Thomas for a great job this year.
Adjustments in daily learning:
There has been little improvement in listening . Students need to listen to native chinese voices. Mr. Pruss invited older students to come and speak in chinese, hoping this will encourage students to come on a regular basis.
