ABOUT THE SCHOOL BOARD:

The Enumclaw School District Board of Directors consists of five members who are elected by voters in the Enumclaw School District and serve a four-year term. The members must live not only within the school district boundaries, but they also must live within the district boundaries they serve. District boundaries and maps can be found under the Documents tab at the top of the page. 

 The primary responsibilities of the Board of Directors are:

• Hire, supervise and evaluate the superintendent.
• Set the vision, mission and strategic goals for the district.
• Review, revise and adopt policies.
• Establish and oversee the budget.
• Serve as community representatives.
• Monitor the district's progress towards their goals.

Student representatives from Enumclaw High School serve two-year terms as non-voting members of the Board. Currently serving as the Senior Student Representative is Makhya Walls.

BOARD MEETINGS:

Regular School Board meetings are generally held on the third Monday of each month and agendas are posted at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. 

Board Work Study meetings are generally held on the first Monday of each month. They provide an opportunity for the Board of Directors to visit school buildings and learn how district initiatives are applied to achieve the district mission of "Inspiring students to learn, lead and impact their community and the world."
