Agenda

MAP Data:

  • Slight dip in reading proficiency, likely due to Kindergarten students no longer taking MAP reading.
  • MAP predictor suggests strong results for Spring Milestones as compared to peers
  • Average achievement for Black students growing, while gap between Black students and White students is narrowing.  Opportunity Gap teams across both campuses have positively contributed to this outcome.
  • Teacher workdays create ability for teachers to share best practices, plan vertically, and refine instructional practices.

Charter Renewal:

  • Committee feedback requested by Friday, May 16th
    • Green = good to go; Red = working on a few things; Yellow = waiting on a few things
  • NEXT STEPS: Full draft to the Board in June; Board approval in July

Celebrations/Highlights:

  • Literacy and Math Leaders
  • New Partnerships:KSU, Morehouse, Oakland Cemetery
  • 11 teachers at EC enrolled in Gifted Certification
  • Charter School of the Year!
  • Supporting 5 teachers in Special Education certification at Middle Campus
