Call the Meeting to Order

Kristen Frenzel called a meeting of the Governance Committee of Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School to order on Wednesday Nov 6, 2019 at 4:09 PM.

Approve Minutes

Lee Kynes made a motion to approve minutes from the Governance committee Monthly meeting on 10-03-19 Governance committee Monthly meeting on 10-03-19.
Meeghan Fortson seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Board Governance

A.

ANCS Policy review

Teams of GC members reported out on their action items for the subset of Category 1 policies they reviewed. To do - Kristi will annotate specific questions for legal vs leadership team; Kristen will followup with legal team.
Nakia Echols arrived.

B.

ED annual review

Not discussed at this meeting.

III. Other Business

A.

Nominations

Nakia/Kristen will make a recommendation to the full board for a vote to create a Nominations Task force. The proposed task force will begin work in Nov with creating the task force and conclude the process in April.
Lee Kynes left.

Meeghan Fortson made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Kristen Frenzel seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 5:38 PM.
