- Approve organizational foundational tools and policies to govern our school and operate effectively.
- Deepen our understanding of Adelante’s Emma Donnan operational state and provide any necessary support and guidance.

Call the Meeting to Order
K. Kainrath called a meeting of the board of directors of Adelante Schools to order on Thursday Dec 17, 2020 at 6:00 PM.

Approve Minutes
M. Staten made a motion to approve the minutes from Board Meeting on 11-19-20.
B. Burcope seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Academic Excellence
A.
Academic Update
- Debrief Interim assessments and plan for student learning assessments.
- MOY checkpoint administered 3-8 digitally ( ClearSight)
- Jan 4, data will be debriefed.
- Academic Intervention with families was discussed, formal touch points were made with all families.( 86.9% )
- Attendance: Middle school attendance ( 90% goal achieved) - Attendance truancy tracking system - ( MS 5% increase Nov - Dec)

Development Update
- Bloomerang - did not respond regarding pricing questions. No formal contract has been implemented.
- Giving Tuesday - paused for 2020
- Gearing up for 2021

- Innovation grant is still pending ( 7 calendar days out )
- Reimbursements were also dispersed.

Strategic Planning Retreat scheduled: Tuesday Feb 16th 6p - 9pm ( in-person with an option for Zoom)

VI. Executive Director's Report
A.
Executive Director Update
- Staffing - seeking a Data Manager
- Enrollment is increasing
- Intent to Return for Staff Members: Staff retention is ~90)
- Racial Equity Policy: Adelante Schools is in 100% alignment with IPS Racial Equity Policy.
- Emma Donnan's return to in-person learning: January 19, 2021 (hybrid schedule)
- Any student in-person in Nov will be returning in-person.
- Any student who attended virtually can remain virtually.
B. Burcope made a motion to Racial Equity Mindset and Commitment Action Policy in full alignment with Adelante Schools.
A. Impink seconded the motion.
The board will discuss actionable and measurable steps to ensure Adelante Schools is in full alignment with this policy at our upcoming 2021 Board Retreat, scheduled for February 16, 6p -9p.
