Highlights

End of Year Days of Cash: 138 (Budget 107)

End of Year Cash Balance: $2.45M (Budget: $1.69M)

DSCR: 9.35 (Budget 2.91)

Revenue

  • No significant changes $1,451 increase

Expenses

  • No significant change overall, but we've pushed additional expenses into FY26 given our strong financial position
    • $22k increase in overall staffing costs mainly due to our plan for bonuses to hit in FY26 vs. FY27
    • $50k decrease in unforeseen expenses, reflecting a strategic allocation of funds utilized to prepare for FY27
    • $7k increase in student expenses
    • $8k increase in staff development
    • $8k increase in staff events

Debt Disclaimer: We currently have a balloon payment of $1.8M scheduled for June 2027. We intend to seek a 2-3 year loan extension from OSSE beginning next December. In the meantime, we continue working towards building out our cash reserves. This year we project increasing our cash position by over $0.7M.

  B. Updated FY27 Budget FYI Karen Venable-Croft 5 m

EdOps recommends the new FY27 Budget, which is based on up-to-date estimates

  • Karen and I have worked to minimize our negative net income
    • Net income increased by $185k to -$151k
    • Additionally, we have located $200k in additional expense reductions we can activate if Fall enrollment looks low
  • Please see the attached Budget file that also includes a budget comparison tab
  • Key changes
    • Revenue estimates reflect 3.8% UPSFF and current ESEA allocations from OSSE
    • Expense estimates reflect current staffing and vendor contracts

  C. Contracts for Board Approval Vote Karen Venable-Croft 5 m

  D. Ramp Credit Card Vote Ricardo Chapa 2 m

Ramp Credit Card

EdOps recommends Girls Global move from PEX to Ramp to offer greater oversight of transactions and real time accountability for expenses

  • Procedures accounting for PEX transactions are inefficient and cumbersome
  • EdOps lacks PEX online access and cannot review expenses until after the month close

  • Coding for expenses is manual, delayed and time consuming
  • Ramp provides real time review
  • Cardholders can log in to Ramp to easily code transactions and upload receipts in real time
  • EdOps has a number of schools successfully using Ramp for their credit card expenses
  • Ideally we would like to implement this as of July 1, 2026 for FY27
