Dr.PT has been working closely with Dr. Wingfield on some additional graduation and promotion language to support our work this year to open the high school.  Seeking input and feedback from the Academic Committee.

 

Diploma Offering and Minimum Credit Requirement

  • Diploma Requirements & Endorsements – The Anchor School:  Pursuant to GaDOE Code IHF(6) 160-4-2-.48, The Anchor School will meet all graduation requirements in the state of Georgia – including diploma standards, graduation requirements, units of credit, areas of study, and LEA responsibilities. This exhibit is intended to outline the additional credits TAS expects students to earn prior to graduating with their degree.  
  • This was an Item for Information in October and will be an item for action at the November board meeting

The Anchor School is a village of educators, families, and community members that partners with 6th through 12th-grade students* who are developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to thrive in school and beyond. Through our commitment to excellent instruction, community partnerships, and holistic student development, we cultivate anchors that build a more just and equitable future.

 

*In August 2022, the SCSC authorized TAS as a GA Charter School with approval to enroll students who will be in the 6th grade in the fall of 2023.
