-The $1300 in Annual Event Pledges are matching donations from the annual event.
-Prop 123 is received twice annually.
-6310 Professional Development: $6412.63 due to teacher conferences. We have new funding this year (Title II and Early Literacy Grant) which is restricted funding that pays for these conferences. This is new funding in the current year and therefore was not budgeted for when we drafted and approved the budget in the spring last year.
-Teacher salaries and the instructional coach salary are lower in April because many staff members have used up their paid sick days and have taken further (unpaid) days off.
-6399 Misc. Purchase Services is for our e-rate consultant. Due to timing, we are paying this invoice in the current year for the upcoming year.
-April's repair and maintenance and special education expenses are higher because there are more school days in April than in any other month (and there are no vacation days).
-Net income for the month of April is slightly lower due to increased number of school days and PD costs.
-On the Budget to Actuals, Title II is 800.60% because Title II is a new grant this year and therefore was not budgeted for last spring.
-Audit expenses are higher in the Budget to Actuals because there is an overlap in years in how our auditor is charging us.
  E. Discuss CASA Financial Policies in advance of June vote
  F. Discuss Early Literacy Grant Funding for 18-19 SY

Due to the most recent legislative session, the funding for the Early Literacy Grant for Y2 (FY19) has changed. We will discuss how to best reflect carryover Early Literacy Grant funding from FY18 in the budget, given that we don't know the amount of CASA's EL award in FY19.
