• Welcome and Land Acknowledgement: 

We, the community of City Garden Montessori, honor the Illiniwek (Eel-Ly-neh-wehk) people, the original protectors of the lands that we now call St. Louis, MO. We also honor all of the people impacted by the current pandemic in our own community and across the world, and those who have been harmed by racialized violence. Let’s now give a respectful and brief moment of silence.

City Garden exists to redefine education by developing the whole child in an excellent,
inclusive, Montessori school; to reimagine community by creating spaces and systems
that help to restore our collective humanity; and to reinvigorate our world by creating a
culture in which individuals and communities thrive without disparities or barriers to
success.

This policy was reviewed previously, and was missing the vote by the Governance Committee to recommend that the board adopt the policy. The committee voted at the February 22 meeting.

Mike Flohr will provide a presentation on behavior, discipline and emotional regulation, based on student Panorama data and teacher feedback through the TNTP Insights survey. 

Shanika will provide an update on:

• The process to redesign City Garden's board recruitment, nomination and selection process and the next steps we will engage in with the broader City Garden community over the next few months
• A board evaluation that will be disseminated in March
• Board member renewals
• Upcoming board training 

We are pivoting away from the annual Gala fundraiser and toward an annual Day of Giving as our major annual fundraiser. This will take place April 20-21, and Donna will lead a discussion about ways board members can provide leadership and engage in the effort to raise $240,000 for City Garden's mission. 

Cassidy will share plans for the Community Block Party and Grand Opening of City Garden's new facility, and how everyone can get involved and join in the celebration.
