The board will not meet in July but will hold an August board meeting.
August 12, 2026 will be the next board meeting.

Board Member Job Description and action plan
Theresa reviewed the Board Member Job Description and started to create an action plan for moving forward with recruiting new board members.

Education in Western Maine Forum at UMF on May 27 share out
Theresa and Travis attended the Western Maine Forum at UMF. Lots of great connections were made between CRCS and local executive directors, superintendents, members of the state school board, President of UMF, etc.

Renewal Update
Renewal Check-In meeting went very well with the Charter Commission on June 3, 2026.
Focus towards hitting the ground running in August and starting to look towards consolidation and making sure that we are refining the systems and protocols and making sure that across all 3 buildings the programming is consistent.

Driving School
Travis shared out that CRCS has been looking at what it might look like to offer CDL classes and bus driving training and licenses.
- Have a program and curriculum already in place for Class B licenses
- Looking at seed money through the Charter Commission to offer Class C, B, and A permits and licenses to our learners and families and even the community

Review of the Academic Excellence Committee Meeting
Theresa and Mike were at the renewal check-in meeting with the Charter Commission. The check-in meeting covered everything from the Academic Excellence would have covered so that was the monthly meeting.

Jill Alves shared out some highlights from the meeting.

IX. Governance Committee
A.
Review of Governance Committee Meetings
Theresa gave an overview of the governance committee meeting and the policies that were discussed.
Travis shared that Casie Guillow won the Outing Club Champion of the Year by Somerset Public Health!
Casie shared out some information about what the outing club has been up to (hiking, camping, kayaking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, etc.) - 47 DA learners and 24 OA learners took advantage of the 22 different activities offered throughout the year
Selina Warren shared out a presentation with the board about the CRCS school gardens. She recapped what happened with the gardens last summer and into the Fall of this school year. She also shared what the plans are for a large garden plot at Dimensions, raised beds at Dimensions, and 6 raised beds at CCA, and a Therapy Garden at Dimensions. She talked about the garden based curriculum that CRCS is using as well as some the crops that have already been harvested and what learners have been making with the crops.
