Transition to Nausin and see the three pillars, and the progress w/ mastery instructions.
Malik: Charter renewal / authorizer visit was good (Laurie helped set up NNGCS for success); she spoke about the school as example to follow.
In the next 5 years, there will be routine visits - NNGCS will participate in charter and DoE responsibility to bring improvements to the Bronx community
Final IAs in June 15-16: iready, EoY reading and IAs: focus areas: 1) summer shine right (received Summer rising grant) 2) about 200 students (k-8) 3)good place in staffing, and using Levinia group; 5 teachers signed up for ELA and strategic partnership w/ teachers (teacher development) 4) transition between 8th to 9th grade - to retain students - working with teachers, culture and ops team to recruit (grade 1, 2, 7 target met)
Intellectual energy in August teacher development - Malik: people who we hire know who we are and what we stand for
CPA: Malik: regents start this month (pushing context of alignment) - using mastery concept form k-8
US history regents will not be given this year.
Summer school: SAT prep program and get maximum students participate; priority targeting and investments in concepts for the lower CPA grades.
