Kevin Reed called a meeting of the board of directors of Green Dot Public Schools California to order on Friday Feb 4, 2022 at 3:04 PM.

Approve Board findings pursuant to Government Code Section 54953(e)

Kevin Reed made a motion to approve the Board findings pursuant to Government Code Section 54953(e).
Jon Goodman seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

IV. Approve Consent Agenda

A.

Approve Minutes from the December 10, 2021 GDPSC Board of Directors Meeting

Kevin Reed made a motion to approve the minutes from Green Dot Public Schools California Board Meeting on 12-10-21.
Peter Scranton seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

V. CEO Update

A.

Reopening Update

Dr. Cristina de Jesus provided an update on Green Dot Public Schools California's return from winter break and the precautions schools continue to take to maintain low rates of COVID-19.

VI. Academic Update

A.

Discuss GDPSC Local Control and Accountability Plans Update

Annette Gonzalez provided an update on Green Dot Public Schools California's Local Control and Accountability Plans, including recent school performance data on measurable outcomes.

VII. Legal Update

A.

Brown Act Training

Neal Brandenburg led a training for the Board regarding compliance with the Ralph M. Brown California Government Code Section 54950 et seq.

VIII. Closed Session

A.

Conference with Legal Counsel - Existing Litigation

The Board entered into closed session at approximately 3:53 p.m. to discuss existing litigation.

Conference with legal counsel – Anticipated Litigation

The Board then discussed pending litigation.

IX. Report of Actions Taken During Closed Session

A.

Report on Closed Session

The Board returned to open session at approximately 4:50 p.m. and reported that it took no formal action during closed session.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 4:51 PM.
