Call the Meeting to Order
A. Cathey called a meeting of the board of directors of Frayser Community Schools to order on Tuesday Jan 14, 2020 at 5:40 PM.

- Dr. White will lend his time to Academic Excellence committee for reports from Ms. Mickey and Ms. Hervey.

Academic Excellence Committee Updates
- Introduction of new FCS network level staff
- Ms. Delnita Mickey, MLK Principal
- Culture and Climate
- Goal: MLK will be a safe welcoming environment for students to feel supported and loved as our own.
When we improve the culture and climate of MLK, we are creating
a safe, supportive, encouraging and challenging environment where
students can flourish academically and socially. - Academics
- Goal: to obtain a minimum Level 3 TVAAS status by the end of this academic year.
- Academic success is not optional. Student learning is pivotal to the success
of MLK. We must prioritize instructional practices that will lead to
student growth and academic success for all students.

- Goal: to develop and retain hard working educators who are committed to our students’ success
When we create an environment where educators feel supported, afforded
avenues to grow professionally and are recognized for their

- Goal: to build a community that supports the whole student.
Working collaboratively with parents and the community will foster
strong relationships and exemplify a community school.
