Review & Consideration of District Assessment Calendar

Dr. Jones noted that we have made a move from NWA to iReady.

B.

Review & Consideration for the Appointment of Homeless Liaison; Diverse Learners Director

Dr. Jones present the job description for the Homeless Liaison. Mr. Schwartz asked if there were additional job duties incorporated into the Diverse Learners Directors job. Dr. Jones affirmed that the Diverse Learners Directors job was not changing; that these job duties already fall within the job scope.

Review & Consideration for the Appointment of Foster Care Liaison, Diverse Learners Director

Review & Consideration Professional Development Plan

J. Schwartz made a motion to Approve.
D. Charity seconded the motion.

Dr. Jones present the professional development plan. Ms. Linn presented the question of working on budget for professional development. Mr. Schwartz requested for continual involvement in whatever capacity in needed.

The board VOTED to approve the motion.

III. Finance

A.

Review Year-End Financials (2025-2026)

  • The school will end the year with 66 days of cash. This is above the recommended 60 days
  • The forecasted net income is $1.7m, which is $420k above the budget. It yields a 6.2% gross margin.
  • The school is projected to end the year with a fund balance of $4,586,793. Last year's fund balance was $2,908,321. Debt Service Coverage Ratio is defined by the school's bank covenants

Mr. Leos presented that we are on schedule and on budget with our bond projects.

Dr. Miles extended an invite to the board to attend Convocation on August 5th.

August 7th Board Retreat Update

MCPSA Conference

Mr. Spark requested that board members who are interested in attending the MCPSA conference send him an email.
