Staff Report
Mr. Lewis shared that we started the year with a little over 1,200 scholars, and now have 1,538 scholars enrolled. He shared that we are on track with our charter renewal process. We formally submitted our CCS of Los Angeles charter renewal petition to the Acton-Agua Dulce USD Board of Trustees. Compass is also working on an affiliation with REALM Charter Schools, in Berkeley, which will bring the Compass Experience to the Bay area.
S. Herrod arrived.
V. New Business

Council Member Feedback
Mrs. Robotham suggested having engagement items for the Scholar-Leadership Council to add to their surveys. She also suggested having more in person enrichment events between parents. Mr. Lewis shared that the council can plan and host events for parents if opened to.
Ms.Gordon suggested having dances for high school scholars. Mr. Lewis shared that targeting locations across 17 counties have its challenges, but always open to trying.
Ms. Smith shared her concern with the Options Program process. The ordering process seems to be a little behind against other charters. Having updates on remaining funds and boundaries of orders in the dashboard.
Mrs. Robotham asked if Compass will be offering a Driver's Education program for scholars. Mr. Lewis shared that Compass has found a potential opportunity to offer a Driver's Education course for credit.
Mrs. Hunter also reminded members about Amazon Smile to support Compass. Asked staff to share with families how to use Amazon Smile.
Mrs. Robotham requested to invite a StrongMind representative to the February 15, 2019 meeting to present the Compass-StrongMind partnership, courses designed, sprint process, and operations.
