The Neighborhood Charter Network is hosting a board meeting on the third Thursday of each month.

Call the Meeting to Order

T. Baker called a meeting of the board of directors of The Neighborhood Charter Network to order on Wednesday Dec 20, 2023 at 3:35 PM.

II. Governance Committee

Executive Director Search Committee

Dennis Casey led the Executive Director Search Committee that began looking for an ED since July of 2023. 

  • The ED role was posted on educational and non-educational sites. 
  • A total of 16 candidates applied for the positions. Amazing candidates applied. After a thorough review of the resumes, the committee moved forward 5 candidates for Zoom interviews.
  • Two finalist candidates were selected, external candidate Dr. Camille Darden and internal candidate Katie Dulay. Both candidates met with students, family, and staff members. They all had an opportunity to ask the candidates questions. The stakeholder panels and ED committee were impressed with Dr. Darden's 28 years of experience. The majority of the panel feedback was fully supportive of Katie as the best choice for Enlace. The committee also believes that Katie is capable of running Enlace and expanding it. Kevin did a great job of exposing Katie to the role in the past 5 years. 
  • The committee made a unanimous vote to recommend Katie Dulay as the executive director. 
K. Britt made a motion to select Katie Dulay as the Executive Director of Neighborhood Charter Network subsequent to the negotiations of her salary with the Executive Committee.
B. Delk seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

Executive Director Compensation

Dennis Casey reviewed the salary information of the former executive Director Kevin Kubacki. He also took into consideration recommended the salary be competitive with what the market is for the position.
