Next Steps - Planning 2021/2022 School Year
Making this into a practical thing - aligning to projects, curriculum
Looking at spiraling - who is covering which criteria, when, how. Which aren't covered.
Project developing - highlight for kids, parents, educator. Emphasizing these particular skills to a student.
Mapping out curriculums.
Portfolio element.
Goal - student explain who they are as a learner, also in conjunction with the criteria
Exit portfolio.
Parent's Night/Open House - teachers emphasizing on parent's night with examples of projects and criteria alignment.
Wanted Posters, POWs - making it real for parents to understand
Curriculum Web -- Interdisciplinary approach, one pager for each trimester. Outside of education speak.
- When kids were home, parents knew exactly what students were learning, where they were going. Went back to school, very hard to keep track of what they are learning.
Goals:
grade level alignment of criteria - what does it mean to problem solve in 4th, 5th, 6th, etc. what should writing look like? etc.
